Most people experience this from a tourist viewpoint like the Mirador del Estrecho near Tarifa. What almost nobody knows is that you can do the same thing from the terrace of a private apartment at Nylva Homes in Manilva. This page is about exactly where, how, and which units get the view.

The answer is a narrow coastal strip from roughly Tarifa in the west to Manilva in the east. Further west and you are looking at the Atlantic with Africa on your left. We hear this question constantly from international buyers who have never seen the view in person. Fair question. The honest answer:
- Europe. Under your feet, obviously, and in your peripheral vision. The Andalusian coastline runs west toward Tarifa on your right. Behind you, the Sierra Bermeja and the white villages of the hinterland.
- Gibraltar. A distinct limestone monolith 30 km away, sitting on its own at the end of a low peninsula. On a clear day it looks like a carved sculpture against the water. Visible year round.
- Africa. The Moroccan coast appears as a dark mountain line across the Strait, with the Rif range behind. On the clearest winter days you can pick out individual towns near Ceuta with binoculars. On hazy summer afternoons it is there but subdued.
Is this the same view as tourist lookout points?
Similar geometry, different experience. The Mirador del Estrecho near Tarifa is closer to Africa but west of the Rock, so you see Africa without the Gibraltar punctuation mark. Mirador del Tajo near Casares gives you an elevated coastal sweep but the Rock is further off. Nylva Homes sits in the spot where all three line up in the same frame from an SW-facing terrace. Honestly, we cannot isolate a clean “three continent view premium” in the Manilva market because almost nothing else in the 2026 new build pipeline has this specific combination of orientation and elevation. What we can say: sea-view new builds in Manilva sit 20 to 35 percent above equivalent inland units, and the sub-set with an actual Gibraltar sight line is a premium pocket within that. The Nylva Homes entry price of €296,010 for a 2 bed is at the lower end of that premium band, which is part of why we think it is the best view-per-euro option on this stretch.

How does this compare with view properties in Tarifa?
Tarifa is closer to Africa, which means the Moroccan coast feels bigger. But Tarifa faces west-south-west, so you lose the Rock of Gibraltar from the frame. Manilva gives you all three in one view; Tarifa gives you two. Different panorama, different feel.
Is the three-continent view worth a price premium?
Buyers who come here because of the view think so. Objectively, Manilva new builds with the view are 20 to 35 percent more per square metre than equivalent inland units. At the €296,010 entry on Nylva that premium is absorbed inside a price that is still well below Marbella.
Can I see three continents from an inland property in Manilva?
You need elevation and SW orientation. Inland properties on the hillside above Manilva can work; many of them do not because they face the wrong direction or sit behind another ridge. That is why a new build specifically designed for the view matters.
What binoculars or telescope do buyers typically use?
You do not need any for the basic view. For detail on the Moroccan coast most buyers keep a modest pair of 8×42 or 10×42 binoculars on the terrace. A small telescope on the penthouse units is overkill but looks the part.
